Obituary is created using a pre-existing catalogue binder from a university library. The binder became obsolete when a decision was made to digitise or destroy the copies of articles and documents taken from various art, design and cultural journals and books, described within its 457 pages.

The text on each page of the binder has been obscured with typewritten repetitions of the letter X, to echo the destruction or deletion of the content. Although the original words can be deciphered through the covering text the only word that remains exposed is the word Obituary, where it appears in the original.

2012, binder with 457 pages, typewritten text, 17 x 9 x 8cm
